Jason Mercier - This is a collage artist, who uses unusual materials to create his pieces. I really like these few I've selected, because the materials work so well and relate to the image he has created.

I really like this artists take on Photoshop; this was one of my inspirations in using photoshop as part of my ABC project.

Alex Queral - "The process takes at least a couple of weeks to complete. He begins by sketching the famous person’s face on a piece of paper and laying it over the phone book, after that he uses a razor blade, patiently carving away at the thousands of pages that lie within phone book to create the 3D portrait. He then paints each face with a monochromatic wash to distinguish the portraits from the pages." http://www.projectsgallery.com/Queral.htm

Jennifer Maestre - Uses "peyote stitch" technique; http://www.wikihow.com/Do-Peyote-Stitch; This artwork amazes me, as the artists has used pencils to create the sculpture, but it gives such a soft effect.

Su Blackwell - have looked into Su Blackwells work as part of my experimenting with papercraft. i really admire her work, and all the intricate detail.

"Haruki Nakamura’s papercraft does more than just sit there and look pretty. The pieces fit together like gears, and actually turn for a kinetic effect that goes far beyond most papercraft creations. Skip to the 49 second mark on the video to see his papercraft heart in action."
